You must be interested and passionate about business and entrepreneurship. We are looking for someone who report on business news in the area. This could be a new opening, expansion, new customers, big contracts or basic business news. Some of the areas include:

Business News

• Chamber news and awards
• Local economic development
• Taxpayer funded projects with economic development
• Business announcements
• Businesses for sale

Company Profile

• Companies operating a unique business
• Local company is doing extraordinary work
• Exporting regionally, nationally or internationally

We are NOT looking news about large corporations, mining companies or big operations

We are looking for up to 10 items per month, with at least 6 news items.

·         You will be the only person in the region

·         Perfect part time job

·         We will pay $30 per item = $300/month

·         Independent contractor

·         If you are interested in sales and advertising there is a potential for another $1000 a month

·         We aren’t concerned about your other employment, current situation or length of time in the community – just that you like business

Northern BC Business www.northernbcbusiness.ca is an online news source bragging about news in Northern BC. We have 500 visitors a day to our site and are slowly building our Facebook page. We are an independent company that was started over beers at the Telkwa Pub about 10 years ago. We are not journalists but big supporters of the North. We also operated BC Yukon Mining www.bcyukonmining.com, business coaching, business investing and consulting.
