A furniture and appliance store with more than 60 years in Dawson Creek – is closing its doors this summer.
“Bing’s Appliances – as a brick and mortar store will be no more,” said longtime owner Ed Mah this morning.
“I knew this days was coming and would happen, but it is surprising still. Our last day of business will be June 30.”
Bing’s has been a Mile Zero staple since the Mahs opened the store in the fall of 1959 – 64 years – with Ed Mah at the store for the last 45 years.
“It is time to call it a day. There are new chapters to be written.”
Mah said retirement would see him grand-parenting and more.
“Staff and I will be busy over the next few days planning for the rest of the year. I look forward to seeing everyone over these next few months.”
