Eddy Ray, owner of Airrays Drone has a family background in silviculture in the Fraser Lake area where he started working in high school. In 2005, Eddy started logging in the area and for over 15 years operated every type of machine in the logging sector. During the forest fire season of 2018 Eddy noticed the work of drones in action and was immediately interested in their capability. Today, Airrays Drone provides aerial and ground-based photography services to the construction industry, government, forestry, First Nations, and the mining sector, which includes lidar, mapping, thermal inspections, volume calculations, 3D modelling, geophysical surveys and virtual tours. They are able to handle all aspects of your project, including planning, photography/videography capturing, and post-production processing. They maintain an advanced drone license allowing for flights in a controlled airspace and close to people.
